Edinburgh George Street, is a top class salon. Been getting my hair done by Jason for over 15 years and he is at the top of his game. He remembers even the smallest detail and is incredibly attentive and a perfectionist. He is also very entertaining which is a bonus! Michelle is such a bright light as you enter and nothing is too much trouble.. A necessary shout out to Bianca and James too who are super. To be honest everyone in the salon is of a very high standard right down to the newbies. The manager must be very proud of the team he has created. In this climate of extreme competition- well done guys - it’s a pleasure to visit.

I visit the Lothian road branch and always have a first class experience. Jamie is the best stylist I’ve had, would highly recommend. He’s very experienced, highly skilled and I always walk out delighted with my cut/colour.

I always visit the George street branch of cheynes and the staff are always very friendly and look after you well. I always get my hair styled by Eve, who I would highly recommend. My hair is always looking great when I leave! It’s good to find a hairdresser you can trust to cut and colour your hair just the way you wanted it. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

I have been a regular client of Cheynes for a number of years. First the Bruntsfield salon and latterly Lothian Road. I have always come away feeling 100% better about my hair. The first time visiting Cheynes and received a lovely warm welcome. beatifull saloon on George Street .Jason, who I highly recommend, was a fun guy and gave me some really good tips. Cheynes is by far the best hairdresser in Edinburgh. I've been a customer for over 30 years and absolutely love my visits! My amazing and very patient hairdresser (I'm OCD) is Claire at the George Street salon. I trust her completely (she is definitely the stylist you want if you're looking for an amazing colour or cut). As well as always doing an fantastic job of my hair, she's just the loveliest person to chat to and has become a true friend over all of the years I've visited the salon. Love Cheynes, love Claire!

Went to cheynes on George Street, James was my stylist , absolutely fantastic job. He done exactly what I had asked for, it was quite a dramatic cut for going from long hair to pixie style haircut. I absolutely love it. Thank you james

My stylist is Lee Anne at the West End Salon and she is a fantastic hairdresser. She knows just what suits me in terms of style, and my colour is also beautifully maintained. The whole West End salon is a delight to visit. All the staff are really friendly, look after you very well during your visit, and are very talented. Best hairdressing salon in the City !!

While visiting Edinburgh for the weekend I managed to get a last minute appointment for my daughter, who is 16, at George Street. The stylist was brilliant and put my daughter completely at ease and did a brilliant job of cutting her hair, I can’t rate Cheynes highly enough. I don’t usually leave reviews but the staff were so friendly and it was such a lovely experience I felt it only right to leave a review.

The trainee who washed my hair was very sweet and friendly. All I wanted was a great hair cut and that is what I got. Thank you Craig.

Visited for the first time, my old hairdresser had recommended Neil at Cheynes and my hair has never looked better! In love with my hair, this is definitely a place I will be returning to!

I have been going to Cleo at York Place salon for a couple of years now and my hair has never felt so healthy or looked better. I know this by the number of compliments I’ve had!! Everyone in the salon is welcoming and friendly. I would definitely recommend.

I visited the West End salon on Saturday to have my hair blow dryer and curled. First time visit to this salon and my experience was very good! Lovely warm welcome from the reception team. Lori was my stylist and she made me feel very comfortable! What a lovely friendly girl who chatted away to me during my visit. She made a very good job of curling my hair exactly as I wanted it! I wanted quite a change and my stylist did a fantastic job! He just needed a quick look at the picture with the style I wanted and now it's perfect.

Claire gave me my 'post-COVID' cut (first one in 4 months) and it was perfect. In fact my wife said it is the best haircut EVER!100% going to be coming back - well before 4 months!
