Cheynes People: Shelley

Our latest Cheynes People post, this time we visit our Head Office to catch up with Shelley.

Your Name: Shelley O’Reilly

Salon: Head Office – George Street

Q: How long has your cheynes journey been so far?

A: 13 years overall. I moved to Aberdeen for a year but when I came back there was only one place in Edinburgh I would want to work…..and luckily they took me back!

Q: Describe your signature Style?

A: I’m probably the least stylish person who works at Cheynes! Haha! But work-wise, I try to be methodical and organised. It’s a busy, buzzing office so it helps to keep organised!

Q: What’s on your playlist at the moment?

A: I have a rather varied music taste, anything from Patsy Cline to Greenday! These songs never grow old for me! Right now I’m feeling the love for Little Mix!

Q: If you hadn’t taken up accounts, what would you do?

A: I always wanted to be a teacher when I was little, but if I’m honest….I’d love to be a Butlin’s Redcoat!

Q: All time favourite film & why?

A: Oh tough question! I do love a musical so for me it’d probably be Little Shop of Horrors! It’s my guilty pleasure!

Q: Do you have any hobbies?

A: I’m a rather busy lady so I’ve not a lot of time for hobbies! I enjoy reading and travelling. I’d love to explore more of the Scottish Highlands in the coming years, the scenery is stunning! I recently got married (Eeeek!) and enjoyed learning to salsa on our honeymoon, so maybe that could be a future hobby??

Q: tell us something that most people wouldn’t know?

A: I played the flute in Highschool to a grade 8 level.

Q: Do you have a funny Cheynes Story?

A. It would have to be playing the part of Saffy from Ab Fab, when, for the first time ever, the head office team took part in the Cheynes Annual Conference performance. What a great laugh and Jennifer & Lorraine as Patsy & Eddie was the funniest moment
