Cheynes people: Lorraine

Name: Lorraine Adamczuk

Position: General Manager

Q, Describe what you do at Cheynes?

A, A multitude of tasks in any one day. I co-ordinate events, seminars and activities for the Company and am actively involved in the clothes styling for Cheynes Shows, Seminars and photographic shoots. There are so many different aspects of my role that its hard to list them all out.

Q, How long have you been part of the Cheynes Team?

A, I have been working with Cheynes for an ‘unbelievable’ 34 years this April and feel blessed to work with such a great group of people.

Q, Describe your ‘signature’ style.

A, I would describe my signature STYLE as STREET GLAM.

Q, What’s on your playlist at the moment?

A, Soul music has always been a part of my life and because it’s the 40 year anniversary of Stevie Wonder’s SONGS IN THE KEY OF LIFE it’s there, as well as he hardy perennials Fonda Rae – Living in Ecstasy and Lisa Shaw –Always.

Q, If you hadn’t taken up the world of hairdressing, what would have been your second career choice?

A, I love working with people and am a good organizer so probably something in EVENTS MANAGEMENT

Q, What is your all time favourite film?

A. Liam Neeson is one of my favourite actors and I recently watched Les Miserables (non musical 1998) with Uma Thurman which is definitely up there as a top favourite.

Q, Do you have any hobbies?

A, Keeping fit is a passion of mine so I jump on my exercise bike whenever I get the chance.

Q, Tell us something about yourself that we wouldn’t know.

A, I am a trained contemporary dancer and while still at school at the age of 14 got the opportunity to dance in CHEYNES very first hair show back in 1977. This went on to bigger and better things as Cheynes got invited that same year to do other shows at THE HIPPODROME, BARBICAN CENTRE and WEMBLEY London. Very exciting for a 14 year old back then.
