Here’s the latest ‘Cheynes People’ post, Blair Howarth from our Bruntsfield salon.
Q: Describe what you do at Cheynes?
A: Along with running a busy clientele at our fantastic Bruntsfield salon, I also run our Social Media platforms, ‘Instagram, Facebook and Twitter’ I find it a fun and creative way of interacting with clients, promoting the great work from members of our team, and reinforcing the strong Cheynes philosophy and brand. I also enjoy helping out at night school and am keen to be involved in more photoshoots in the future.
Q: How long have you been part of the Cheynes Team?
A: I’ve been working for the company now for 11 years. Time Flies…
Q: Describe your ‘signature’ style.
A: The Cheynes way, strong perimeter shapes with soft textures and finish.
Q: What’s on your playlist at the moment?
A: Decent electro such as Death in Vegas or Crystal Castles. Also loving The Last Shadow Puppets new album at the moment.
Q: If you hadn’t taken up the world of hairdressing, what would have been your second career choice?
A: I would have worked in Advertising as like hairdressing, its a very visual industry.
Q: What is your all time favourite film?
A: Being a Sheffield United fan, I find it hard to look past ‘When Saturday Comes’, Sean Bean should have got an oscar for that film.
Q: Do you have any hobbies?
A: I swim regularly to stay fit. I have a passion for hispanic cultures and will visit Colombia later this year.
Q: Tell us something about yourself that we wouldn’t know.
A: I was once at a dinner party with Ewan Bremner and told him that he looked like Spud from Trainspotting. I didn’t get invited back…
