WOW, it’s been a crazy month, August…. that time of year when the city is flooded with festival folk, every street has been a hive of activity and there has been some pretty spectacular stuff seen throughout Edinburgh.
The fireworks next week bring this years 70th celebrations to a spectacular end, and everyone at Cheynes can’t wait to see the sky awash with fabulous pyrotechnics.
(with thanks to Dave Stewart for the awesome cover pic)
Whilst the festival always makes the streets of our fair city incredibly busy, it’s also been a hectic month for Cheynes salons, with the re-opening of our George Street salon creating a buzz throughout the city as one of the highlights. if you haven’t seen the new look salon yet, pop in and say hi!
Cheynes Art Team
In a rare moment of coordination we managed to get some of the Cheynes Art Team together for a publicity shot, and don’t they all look cool and creative in this fabulous black and white image. Regarded throughout the UK and beyond as one of the leading creative teams the art team regularly deliver inspirational training to hairdressers on behalf of Wella Professionals as well as in our West End Academy.
And aptly we reposted this stunning image in our ‘throw back Thursday’ posts on Facebook. Created by Ashely from the art team it’s as fashionable and on trend now as it was when she styled it back in 2012 for Vogue. Gorgeous colour, gorgeous curls, a timeless image.
Lothian Road Competition Winner
And last but by no means least, our lucky competition winner Charlotte dropped into the salon and had her hair cut and coloured by Sammara. Watch this space for more Cheynes competitions coming soon.
And now, as we head into Autumn it’s time to start thinking about new styles and new colours for your hair so keep checking in to see what the teams in our city centre salons will be being inspired by soon.
